Just looked on Alami images the pic was February 1969. The stand was knocked down that summer.I'm sure it will be among the pics in the thread but my all time favourite is with one taken from the Street End towards the old Goodison Road terracing and the whole area under a blanket of snow. The picture quality is so good you can almost feel the silence that occurs under fresh snowfall.
This one makes me laugh. When I was a kid I needed a crate just to peek over the wall. They are kneeling ha ha. Great experience for them
Hahaha this was a brilliant moment. Remember it vividly, covered in blue war paint, horse from screaming, coughing my guts up, flare in hand, beer in the other, then this dog just comes floating through the crowd. Amazing.View attachment 246087
Best pic with Goodison in it - nobody will tell me otherwise. Absolutely legendary moment
Yes I remember that night wind was gale force we played Bolton lost 1-2 ?ive been in them, bad seats but not the worst,
The worst are at the very back of the lowers gwladys, or the back of the lower bullens behind the old TV gantry.
I was in them for the really windy day when Tim Howard scored. Throughout the whole game I saw the ball for about 7 minutes; the rest of the time it was in the air out of my view.
That board with letters on showing the rows in the upper street end is still there now I think. Looks exactly the same
I recall in my youth hanging my scarf over like that, and the Everton physio running round the pitch to tell me to move it...think the game was on motd at night
