I’ve said all season that Rooney will be the next manager. He will be a cheaper option and one that they know they can attract.
Potter rep in the game is still way too high to come here.
Dyche will still be here at Christmas no matter what happens.
He wont make Christmas, il be surprised if he makes the derby

Our next manager should have been Ange Postecuglo......

Said it before Lampard and got laughed at...

He wouldn't have left Celtic for us, much to clever for that.....

We need someone along these lines, someone with a long term vision, no more stop gaps like Benitez, Carlo,Lampard or Dyche......

Do we have people in charge capable of such move..... No

Would the fans accept such a move and give him time..... probably No

What will happen is 777 will put a loan in to fund the sacking...
Bankruptcies happen when companies need a loan and no one will close it. Been on that end enough times with personal bankruptcies as a lender. I say no to a refinance of terms, because the credit history is a horror show, and several months later the letter from the local district court arrives.

Only thing with a Schumacher or Mckenna is they're nowhere near big enough a name for the premier league. They'd get eaten alive like almost every other championship manager has

No one half decent is coming to work for either a wantaway Moshiri or a 777 group who are late paying people / linked to fraud.

If Dyche goes then expect some "romantic" name like Rooney who Wander/Kenwright would believe would appease the fans or an old hand like Tony Pulis.

Keeping Dyche right now is both the realistic and sensible option (imo).
You are probably right...

And that's depressing.... our only saving grace is it's the worst premier league in years.....

Luton, Sheff Utd,Burnley, Bournemouth, ourselves are all in the bracket of sheer uselessness.... I think 3 of them are worse than us

Would the fans accept such a move and give him time..... probably No

Harsh on the fans, we know what we want, just a manager with a plan, not a dinosaur which is what we seem to attract.

Every manager we have had has been given a fair chance to prove he can manage us with the exception of benitez because he's a fat horrible kopite dog.

I don't see any of the above improving us this season.

Dyche needs to play Beto, protect DCL and not play all of Onana, Garner and Gueye together.

Use Gueye to close out matches with DCL in the last 30 when we're drawing or winning. Dropping Gueye would make for the additional attacking player we need to put teams on the back foot and give Beto support.

If push comes to shove then Potter.

It’s another example of Moshiri era ineptitude. When we sacked Benitez, the shortlist was Lampard or Pereira, who ruled himself out with a bonkers interview on Sky. Then we sacked Lampard and appointed Dyche.
By comparison, Villa were in a mess like us at the start of last season and appointed Emery to replace Gerrard. Wolves attracted Lopetegui. Brighton appointed De Zerbi as soon as Potter had left. You can guarantee that Everton will have no clue at all about who they will approach if Dyche is sacked. It will be a scatter gun approach listing managers who play totally different styles of football, from Potter to Schumacher, Rooney to Bielsa.

If it was going to be one of the options on the list, I'd go with Rooney. He would be readily available and probably relatively cheap on a short term deal. Might offer some initial X factor and positive coverage. Might give us some little boost at least initially.

On saying he's available, then I think he is, but still would need a hard sell to come here under the present circumstances. You could say that for anyone approached, but I think Rooney would want some assurance about money in January and would have to be persuaded that he isn't going to be just another scapegoat given his history with the club.

He'd be brave to take it.

I'd be happy with Potter but I don't think he would entertain the idea presently. And if Lopetegui left Wolves, why would he come to Everton?
