Anyone who’s played any competitive sport knows that a good run breeds more good performances and a bad one can be very tough to shake.
We will be going into Palace away completely fired up now with Richarlison and Gray after more goals and having the belief they can do it whereas if we’d had another battering we’d be going into the game a bag of nerves, desperate for a result.
Your main point that a win can come any time is correct but you’ve gotta see it’s more likely to come when you’re feeling good and confident.
It’s amazing what one performance can do to our optimism. There’s no reason we can’t win all five games, but I’d happily take 10 points whoever they come from
