Got my work Christmas meal tonight, will probably be relatively calm but I intend to make the most of free wine and get more drunk than everyone else and talk about Brexit and Starmer to anyone who is unfortunate enough to have to sit next to me.

Does anyone have any wild tales of people going totally insane on these special occasions? Feel like these events aren’t as crazy as they used to be.

Staff getting arrested for starting a fight with chefs in a bar because they were politely asked to stop having sex in the kitchen.

That sort of thing?

How about a fight in a Chinese, that resulted in someone being thrown down s set of stairs into a fish tank, that sort of thing ?
 
One year one of the engineers got wasted and we wound him up so he started a fight with a Christmas tree because we told him it was looking at him funny.
On another occasion Christina from accounts hit the pre-drinks hard. She went greener than her soup starter and barfed all over the table.

Many years ago I worked for a company who held their party at a big hotel in the Midlands. Only management folks were staying over and I I got into the hotel guests bar with my boss after the party. Apparently I insisted I was good at playing the piano. I have no musical talent. I can only remember getting pushed into a taxi by a couple of security guys
 
Took a whitey half way down the buffet at a do years back. Trying to get my head together I was then accosted by a waitress I worked with who berated me with all the instances I'd pissed her off. The sister of another waitress, one I'd had some 'amour de work**' with, seeing my vulnerability, then came over and highlighted how terrible I was as a boyfriend.
There was chaos all around at the time, my head spinning and tears in my eyes, I semi passed out in a heap. Never been to any other works do since.

**interesting encounter with this girl in some afternoon shenanigans in one of the hotel bedrooms, slid my hand into her ladygarden forgetting I'd not long been chopping chillies. She came off the bed like a Polaris howling. Wrote the afternoon off 😁
