Seen a big old one in Calderstones Park last year.

It was just sitting in a tree looking at me, lovely to look at but spooked me a littlelittle
yeah they can be a bit spooky, (the great grey is sometimes known as the "spectral owl")

years ago, me and a couple of chums were just walking through bootle one day, right next to a huge field, it was just around dusk

when we all just became aware of something behind us, we turned around to see this massive barn owl had just swooped right down to us and as we turned it halted it's descent and just hovered a few feet above us

we just stood there mesmerised

I seem to remember fingering some snatch later on at the youthie too

fish pie and a terrifying owl swoop in the same night, halcyon days chums....halcyon days
 


I like Owls for the simple quirky animals that they are, not for what they symbolise to various occult and nefarious organisations throughout history and even today. Owl worship is a thing. :dodgy:
