Panorama to question ownership of Everton

Him speaking from behind bars literally was not the best PR image for the club there.

lol

He handled the interview well enough though.

Moshiri handled panorama very well, gave nothing away that they could hang anything on.

He did give it away that it was a gift, even if he didn't explicitly admit to it.

As the paper trail appears to prove this also, the question is if the Prem/FA would consider this a breach of the 10% ownership rules, and if they do then what they would do about it.

Dock us all our points and ban us from transfers known us lol

I think the recent Arsenal game should be replayed to remove any suggestion of collusion between the 2 teams. Not sure the result would be any different, though!!!

I think the Panorama episode can be dangerous of this gets political against Usmanov. He's in Putin's orbit and maybe that exposes him to scrutiny like this.

This is an important point we shouldn't lose sight of, we've already seen how anti-Putin the media have been over the last couple years and if they feel they can 'score a point' by going after Usmanov then this may get more traction than it deserves.

The Premier League have made the following statement:

“We would not disclose confidential information about clubs or individuals but can explain our general rules and policies in this area.

“The Premier League has wide-ranging rules in the areas of club ownership and finance. These include prospective new owners having to meet the Premier League Board and provide extensive detail on the sources and sufficiency of funding they have in place.

“They must also submit information on the financial structure of any proposed investment, and a business plan demonstrating that all liabilities can be met for at least 12 months ahead.

“The League prohibits any club owner or director from having an interest in another club, or the ability to influence another club’s policies. Should a prospective club owner have previously held shares in a different club, they must provide evidence that they have been divested.

“Only when these and many other rules have been applied, and due diligence completed, will the Premier League Board allow an investment to proceed.“

Looks like the FA are saying everything necessary was done and almost exonerating us.
