Paris Olympics 2024

Just watching the break dancing. It's a bit of crack and there's undoubtedly skill involved.. but how it became an Olympic event before extream tag is beyond me.

I have to say I liked the breakdancing. It was basically a sport decided on vibes which we can probably debate the wisdom of but it was fun as hell. I'd get rid of all the horses before I took it out.

Brilliant stuff there tonight from Ireland, I didn't think they would get as close as they did.

Amazing when you think that Healy and Becker still have day jobs.
The panel on RTE are 100% correct, there needs to be more money spent on sports and then athletes wouldnt need a day job, get coaches into primary schools in the way GAA do, get more tracks opened, spending money now saves money in the future on the HSE when you have fitter people growing up.
Also RTEs coverage of the games has been fantastic.

The BBC will have to sort this pundit yapping out for the next World Championships and the Olympics especially.

They've done all they can to f.u. this Olympic games on the track and field with all their BS stories about their own long gone careers and back story discussions of competitors like Hodgkinson, Kerr and that Kopite.

Thank goodness one of them (Lewis) has left to take up another post. Hopefully they dont replace and we can cut the BS down to two of them doing their yapping next time around.

I hate to be the one to let you know, but there's a huge pool of gb athletes either just retired or in the process of retiring. There's going to be a queue three times round bbc hq to get on the couch for some of that sweet waffling on cash.
And you can bet, KJT will be in the mix, one heptathlete takes a side step, another turns up.
