I'd lose a few too in competitions that don't matter, to not raise so many suspicions before unleashing shock and awe when it matters.
One of those losses was to an Irish woman in the last Olympics though

Exactly, they're probably doping but there ain't many transgender ( who knows the right terms) people bouncing around rural Algeria and especially not risking exposure by competing in public sports. That boxer isn’t actually trans though, she was born a woman and identified as a woman from birth according to teh always reliable internets
Apparently it’s the same deal as Caster Semenya.
Also she has a 9-5 record so has seemingly been beaten by women several times.

Yep she isn’t transgender, she’s XY46. So basically born “both” male and female. That boxer isn’t actually trans though, she was born a woman and identified as a woman from birth according to teh always reliable internets

Olympics women's boxing live: Italian abandons fight with Imane Khelif, who failed gender test
The controversial fight between Imane Khelif, the Algerian boxer who failed a sex test at last year’s World Championships, and Italy’s Angela Carini has been abandoned after just 46 seconds after the Italian suffered a suspected broken nose.www.telegraph.co.uk
Surprised this story hasn’t gotten a bit more coverage, I know there are 2 transgender fighters that have been cleared to fight despite previously being banned. Interesting to see the reception they get if they win gold.
Kellie Harrington beat her 5-0 at the last Olympics. Don't think her elevated testosterone helps her much. The Italian girl isn't the first fighter to have her nose broken in a fight.Yep she isn’t transgender, she’s XY46. So basically born “both” male and female.
She may well have identified as a woman from birth, but genetically she’s had a lot of the biological benefits as males in her hormonal development. That’s why just looking at her in the ring she looks like a “man” in terms of size, muscle mass, speed, she even has more of a traditional male looking stance and is much more snappy in the punches than what you’d expect from a female.
The reason she had lost before to biological women is because she isn’t an elite skilled boxer, so on occasions she’s been beaten, but she does have more similar testosterone levels to a male, which she has used to her advantage.
May sound hard to hear for some (and it’s obviously harsh on her), but I personally think with escalated testosterone levels she shouldn’t be allowed to compete in a women’s sport where the aim of the game is to literally try and render your opponent unconscious. Many governing bodies across many sports agree with this, but for the Olympics it’s not the case.

Much ado about nothing and an opportunity for the likes of J K Rowlings to stick the knife in.
