Park End annexe - 'not going to happen now'

The CEO tonight tried to smuggle this info in under the radar of all the takeover talk:

The new development
"We have always told fans as much as we can, as soon as we can and the proposed new development is no exception. There are, however, confidential, commercial discussions which we haven't been able to disclose. Twelve months ago, the new development was fully funded and ready to go subject to clearance on one outstanding point, the release of security held by one of our lenders, on the small footprint the building was due to occupy.
For reasons unforeseen by us, this hasn't been achieved and we ended up with lawyers and advisers trying to find ways around this. Of course, in addition, economic conditions have also changed and along with discussions with our lenders, we are talking to our commercial partners about their support for the project. Both partners remain keen to see us enhance the facilities they operate and exploit. We will continue to try and work our way through these challenges and remain committed to finding a fully funded solution to a project which will deliver immediate, commercial improvements to Goodison Park"

Another crushing humiliation overseen by this lot. It's not happening. All the graphics and all the bullshit plans and all the claims to be "delivering".

Clueless bunch of clowns.

I have to say mate, although i take on your point and while the annexe may not be built, im certain Pru/BS cant legally act outside their security unless there is a breach - which to the best of my knoweldge their isnt. Your stabbing in the dark here without knowing the detail of the deal, or cant explain it. I can safely say, that this would set a precedent for this type of deal, take Newcastle and Utd who have similar deals albeit at larger borrowings and higher intrest rates, they have continually adjusted, built expanded etc on their sites, yet their debt - turnover ratio is worse then ours. Similarly Leeds who have done same thing. To be honest your reasoning isnt based on any fact and your not sure of the reasons, your just sure.

It remains to be seen wheather KEIOC or the individual in question actually have any sound fact to back up this disclosure, either way someones telling a whopper be it the club (detail of the deal) or KEIOC (unfounded allegation)

Looks lik we have our answer then, eh?

As usual, I fail to understand how anyone can defend Bill Kenwright and this board in any way.

Very shabby trying to use a blog about the takeover to bury that bit of bad news.

Just shows you the underhand tactics being used by the L4 Politburo.

So your confirming KEIOC original ascertation that it wont be built?

I'm confirming that when they said the club's first claim - that the annexe was being placed on hold for technical difficulties surrounding the *logistics of shifting IT from one lace to another* - was rubbish, they were spot on.

KEIOC said it wouldnt!

Of course it wont be built. That's what Elstone was telling you in his blog tonight.

Imagine the long grass on a golf course? Now imagine this annexe being punted into a farm yard about half a mile further out than that...that's where we're up to with the <chuckles> *Park End annexe*.

I like the way its always a balls up with "someone else" not turning up to the table.

Eggs in one basket...basket gets dropped. Clean it up before anyone notices.

This is what i meant in yesterdays post about things being brushed under the carpet. When have we had a public press release regarding this????? instead its been placed in a blog which will be read by about 2% of Evertonians.

Again we have been left high and dry regarding communication from our club, yet you will still say that groups like BU, KEIOC iare all cloak and daggers; well what do you expect when hard working, match going fans, who have got better things to do with there time have to search the internet for updates to inform the masses.

This proves on all grounds that Robert Elstone is totally unfit to run a business. Over his tenure there have been some poor decisions come from his office, if he where CEO of a FTSE 500 company he would have been sacked along time ago, his decisions are costing the club millions of pounds of money a year and countless hours of wasted man power.

ROBERT ELSTONE SHOULD BE SACKED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

Your making a non point really, this is the second time i have heard there is a delay in the annexe from the club. What do you want the club to do post it out to every season ticket holder. The press can decide to use the info or not. They have obviously read the blog but the headline is the takeover stuff. Surely a lack of communication would be to say nothing.

The info has been released and is in the public domain, its up to Evertonians on what means they use to check club info, obviously it translates to other mediums such as this.

As for the sacking Robet Elstone for writing and acknowledgeing this in his blof, which is incidently something he brought into to play to communicate better with fans, its another example of the black and white, all or nothing thinking which leaves the far right Kenwrongers flailing to be honest, and marginilises themselves from reasonable people.

This was a £9M venture that was given a fanfare of trumpets a year ago and press releases all over the place. It's not a minor bit of news. But now it only warrants a paragraph tacked onto the bottom of a story that recycles all the takeover news we already have.

That annexe info should be in a stand alone article on the OS. They're taking the piss slipping it into a blog.
