Park End annexe - 'not going to happen now'

This was a £9M venture that was given a fanfare of trumpets a year ago and press releases all over the place. It's not a minor bit of news. But now it only warrants a paragraph tacked onto the bottom of a story that recycles all the takeover news we already have.

That annexe info should be in a stand alone article on the OS. They're taking the piss slipping it into a blog.

Fair point, but lets not be naieve here it was done for that very reason, on the balance of percentage of positive news overall in the blog in makes sense from a PR point of view.

No one bar you and KEIOC have said it defo wont be built, i suppose its not bad management to put a 9mill captail project on the backburner when you are negotiations over a takeover as well - who knows what future plans are being disscussed with potential buyers. As he says in his blob its not how much but rather, what are you aspirations for developing the club.

Am i right in thinking that it's not deffo finished with

Dave says its defo of mate, but id take that with a pich of salt as he also maintained: things like, we were defo going into administration last Jan and Robert Earl ownes Vibrec and lent the club 14 mill. Thats before you touch on the Philip Green stuff.

2% of Evertonians? Ok then. I know if theres something I want to know from the clubs mouth regarding finances, development and stadium, the first place to look is Bobby El's blog.

Why demand more information releases from the club then complain about how its released? Desperate for negativity now.

I just dont understand why this was announced if it had a chance that it would not go ahead?! It makes us look like we could'nt organise a p!ss up in a brewery.

Your making a non point really, this is the second time i have heard there is a delay in the annexe from the club. What do you want the club to do post it out to every season ticket holder. The press can decide to use the info or not. They have obviously read the blog but the headline is the takeover stuff. Surely a lack of communication would be to say nothing.

The info has been released and is in the public domain, its up to Evertonians on what means they use to check club info, obviously it translates to other mediums such as this.

As for the sacking Robet Elstone for writing and acknowledgeing this in his blof, which is incidently something he brought into to play to communicate better with fans, its another example of the black and white, all or nothing thinking which leaves the far right Kenwrongers flailing to be honest, and marginilises themselves from reasonable people.

Robert Elstone has cost this club millions upon millions of pounds in failed projects and cost saving exercises which have limited the club to a minor stream of income. If you think otherwise then you are seriously deluded, this has nothing to do with BK or the Board, this is about our CEO, the man tasked with the job of running every department of OUR football club; yet year on year he makes mistakes.

This is not a business like a manufacturer where outsourcing some parts of the business have a major impact on outgoings and increase profit, its a football club that relies on commercial revenue streams to pay wealthy stars and allows us to compete. And this so called project, which made front page news of our local rag was supposed to go some in generating some cash, yet months down the line the project has been halted with no official press release, instead its given a little piece in a blog written by a CEO who is clearly out of his depth.

haha fanastic, Bobby El's blog tells all does it. Why have people known for months that this was not going to happen, and the article is placed in a blog and not on the front page of the OS???

This serious piece of business for Everton and its placed in a blog, not as a main story on the website, outstanding way of communcating with the fans.

Thats really just a rant mate, any focuss to those accusations.

Everton's commercial income is retarded and hasn't become any better than that under Elstone (who was also there with Wyness during is time as CEO). The annexe is dead in the water for anyone who reads that Elstone blog and knows anything about the way the club operates.

Elstone is a bean counter with no beans to count. I think that pretty much sums his role at Everton up.

yes, i have:
- The Finch Farm lease
- KitBag; outsourced all our commercial activities for £2.5million pound a year when football is booming
- The subject we are discussing is another failure.

Not to mention his participation in DK. The man is a CEO, he has responsibilities to drive the business forward, he clearly isn't doing that, i really don't know why you can't see it

A lot of willy waving going on in here- 'Outstanding "Dave" ' Makes me cringe....

Point scoring and one upmanship over fellow Evertonians is in my opinion unecessary and cheap.
