Not at all, I just don't think we have the funds at the minute to go and get a first choice GK that won't make any mistakes. I agree he needs replacing, but it will probably have to wait until the summer.

I don’t think you’re grasping how simple a task it is to buy a goalkeeper that makes less mistakes than Pickford. Like, it would be extremely difficult to find one that makes more, or even as many. You’d really have to go out of your way to locate a worse keeper.

But what is the point in signing another average GK cos he makes slightly less mistakes than Pickford? Then we will have 3 average GKs on the wage bill, 4 if you include Virginia; and we would still want a better GK.

Surely it's better to just wait till we can go and get a top class GK for a large fee.

Buying average players as an interim is what we did when Moshiri first came in and it hurt us.
