How many years is his contract with us? Think a three-year deal is a decent starting point.

I'm on record on here as wanting him before we went for Martinez mate, so always was a fan of him.

But over the last year - since he left Dortmund - my opinion on him has changed a lot, seems that he believes his own press/hype, he's done comparatively little to earn such a reputation that he can be turning down Bayern, and be knocking back other clubs (ourselves included apparently).

For me he did exceptionally well with a very small team (like a lot of others have done with small clubs), got his big move and overall it didn't exactly show he was top class, could call his time at Dortmund a mixed success really, one which if he emulated at a 'big' club would not see him last very long - especially if he started falling out with the bigger ego's.

Gone from gutted we won't get him to a sense of a bit of relief - as think he's showing he has no desire to build and prove his worth (as tbf to him Klopp did have that desire at both Mainz and Dortmund and now the rs) but rather he wants to walk into something that gets him the credit without him having to earn it... At Everton we deffo need a manager incoming with a big point to prove rather than one who thinks because he got mainz up and kept them there and because he inherrited a CL regular and kept them there that he is the dogs bollocks already.

oh yeah, very correct about Tuchel. He was using BVB as a stepping stone, that is what he does, it went a bit wrong for him, but he's still going to end up with a good job no doubt! It was definitely the very definition of a mixed success. A couple nice highs, but way too many doubts in the end as to where it was going. He is not a porject manager like you say.

He's a weird one really, sort of hard to read. All the coaching talent in the world, but he tends to alienate people, and that includes players, never mind work colleagues and fans!

Anyway, I agree with you regards Everton, there are better options out there, people who actually would love to get stuck into getting the club back up there where they need to be.

I can't believe we are getting him this is amazing news. Even Allardyce seems impressed: "Paulo by all accounts is a top manager and I am sure he'll be able to turn this squad into a top seven team."

It didn't work.

I just wish if him or any one else that we could confirm a new boss soon for the new season, though off course we wont, plus sam would act as though our form was because of a new boss been named etc,as well as any other excuses as why we are playing rubbish he can think of
