My missus likes this a lot.
My missus always used to watch the match with me if Chelsea were playing
She not that keen on United as she reckons he hasn’t aged well
If Paulo come aboard I’ll be able to watch every Everton game in peace and just listen to her sighing every time he comes in to camera shot.
If we get Arteta as assistant the match will be played in a continuous loop

he looks like Mike Newell

They have previous in creating and/or deepening a crisis, certainly Baines has. These two have been central as senior players in this team for years. As said earlier above the word I've been given is that there is a clique in that squad of senior players who are an alternate source of power to management.
Who gave you this word dave? Can’t believe you have called Baines a ‘no mark’ . Beyond belief. Over the hill - probably yes, but a ‘no mark’ really? Would be very interested to see who agrees with you on this forum. You let your fingers run away with you sometimes!

Too harsh on Baines. He called out Martinez and he was right to do so, same as most other Everton fans did. Next season he won’t be first choice but a very valuable squad member.

Rooney is a winner. His medal haul substantiates that and if he accepts that he won’t play every week but has a role in developing the team then he is an asset. If not, jettison him with a firm handshake and a fond farewell.

Coleman is the standout leader and he should be the benchmark for future signings.

Baines and Jags were great in their day, but have been past their best through several transfer windows, and yet the powers that be have been unable to find suitable replacements.

Therein lies the rub!

Instead of building teams, they have been dismantling them. We will never progress on the field unless we progress in our appointment of players and staff. It starts with getting the right manager. The right manager will have to be progressive, with a single minded goal that demands improvement, not stagnation. This Fonseca fella might be that one, but whoever it is, we can't mess about gorping at the past greats, when we should be creating the future stars.
