You're concerned that because a player who is on his way out has scored and that the management may reconsider.

Why is it so different?
Because he plays in a position that a player can get away seeing out their 30s in.

He's not good enough.

I say all this because anyone with the best intentions for the club know that his presence and the likes of others like Baines and Mirallas mean we'll remain essentially uncompetitive where it matters at the top end of the table.

I agree he's not gonna be up to mustard next year. I thank him for his service.

I'm pleased for the fella this week. He's done a good job. He's scored a few. Nice swan song. Be pleased for him.

Can't see how a squad conisisted of the like in Cleverley, Niasse, McGeady, Alcaraz, Kone etc was competitive. Baines and Mirallas are back to their normal self under the right management this season.

If it was his swan song I would. I just wonder though.

They're second rate. We need first rate. Simeone, del Bqosue and, Ancelotte and Mourinho combined couldn't make them winners, never mind someone like Koeman.

My only thing is, where has he found that pace?! Proven me wrong in the last few games. I know he was lucky today with that pass but he's has been boss otherwise.

He's improved well and I'd happily keep him around if he's comfortable with a limited squad role. I've never rated Jags as a captain but as a player he always gives his all and regardless of his ages he can still make a positive impact.

Honestly dave, unless we are in CL we won't and can't sign first rate, ready made world class players. Be fair, we used to have quite a few fourth or fifth rate players as squad players under the previous management and Koeman is still getting rid of them and it takes time.
