Magnificent? It defied gravity!!! Made up for Jags, been a superb captain in the Corinithian mode - doesn't snarl or get in referee's faces, but he plays the game and behaves on the pitch in a way he and many think is the right way. Not many like him left in today's game - took his demotion from he first team like a man and worked hard to regain his place and has put in some great performances. Favourite memory of Jags? I as going to say the penalty against Utd in the semi final but I'd have been lying. Scoring the best goal ever seen at the Kop and having such a nonchalant celebration like he knocked them in like that each week. If it had of been me, they wouldn't have caught me and we'd be still waiting for the kick off today. Top player and has led us with distinction - I hope he stays one more year but if not, I'm sure the Blades would offer him a hero's return and who could blame him if he went there?
He said it was because of his reputation for low key celebrations that he decided to try something different!

Nothing but respect for Jags. He's been a top player and still is. I'm proud to have him as captain of our club. Still like to have him for another season, but if as seems likely he returns to Sheff. Utd, then he goes with my good wishes and thanks for a job well done.
Loved the celebration by the way, proves there's life in the old dog yet.:)

Can't help feel Jags' dip in form was down to 2 years of carrying the defence in Martinez's reign. Great to see him fight back and if he can keep that performance level up, its a great benchmark for the new boys to beat.

On another day those pass backs cost us the game, and that is quite simply poor technique, hes done okay, but it's time for him to be moved on, a fresh captain for a regime with a winning mentality

Thought he had a good game yesterday part from the couple if passes.
Jagielka's passing has never been a strong point of is; let's not forget all the wayward Hollywood balls he's done over the years.

So yes he was lucky yesterday and perhaps another team would have taken advantage of this, but another goal from him and overall played well.

For me, it's nice to see him once again in a rich reign of form and I hope it continues. Is he the long-term answer? No, but here and know I'm happy.
