We'll see how he fares next season with greater expectations, a bigger match schedule and without the goal machine bequeathed to him.

I'm not hopeful for him, tbh. And retaining faith in the likes of obviously second rate players for any team looking to get a CL spot is a harbinger of that.

Jagielka and Baines as starters next season. People actually want that to happen and then wonder why we're not at the races for a CL spot.

Those players are losers. Let them be 'one of us' elsewhere because they and the likes of Mirallas are nowhere near the quality we require at this club.

It's topical. The Dutchman said just yesterday that Baines was good for two more seasons. It's not "wummery" to challenge that, it's common sense to if the objective is securing CL football.
