It's the Cahill one I just can't understand.Fully deserved, ridiculous how smalling and cahill get in ahead of him usually
I mean, he's actually dreadful and bang out of form.
So weird. Vice captain too!!!

Smalling has significantly improved over the last six months and tbf can understand why Hodgson would prefer to try to establish a younger partnership that could last several years.
Stones in the right and Smalling on the left is probably his long term preference.
Very happy we have a Stones and Jags partnership though.
Watching Smalling on the ball is like watching a football parody.Agree Smalling has improved, still think Stones is just the better of the 2. Smalling and Stones as England's future centre - half pairing is going to be quite impressive though.

It's all going well at the moment so it looks like a poor call to say he's falling down on that aspect of his game. I'm looking at it in the long term since he's been here. I just don't see an organiser and an inspirational figure. Maybe captaining his country will give him a boost in that direction. And we respect you for that.
I just can't agree with the passive comment when a 20 year old CB and a south American with zero experience of European football have slotted seamlessly in next to him. Surely him coaxing them through is the opposite of passive?
confirmed as England captain next game.
made up for him, he'll of a achievement for his career
this threads getting a bit rawk, he's a decent player and is in good form, he's not beckenbauer, stones is though
