Phil Jagielka

Got done like Big John from the Dog and Duck first half by Costa...then let him do exactly the same trick in the second half.

If the feller has any dignity he'll be taking a seat on the bench and staying there until there's an injury crisis at CB or until he gets sold.

Up to the manager to bench him Dave, Koeman has a huge job on his hands with this shower of shyte at his unfortunate disposal. He ain't getting a free pass either, tonight simply isn't acceptable so he needs to pull his finger out of his arsenal and start earning that big fat wedge he's picking up.

Poor Jags, great player over the years, real good pro but the end is coming fast for him, I really hope he moves out in January as i dont want my final memories of him to be bad ones.
I've always thought he was limited but his pace was his saving grace and he got back to cover ok. Now he cant even do that. And the arm band has to come off straight away.

Yeah agree on this, that arm band can be a problem, we had that with undroppable Phil Neville, I would give it to Williams

Probably explains why Koeman was so keen to get Kone in from Sunderland. Jags has been a solid player for us over the years but age catches up with everyone.
He's had a difficult season so far giving away the pens against city and tonight he was woeful.
Providing we have a replacement lined up to bring in in January Moyes can have him, if he's still in a job of course.

I agree. Koeman brought back a player in the depths of his form. The buck stops with him.

I dont see a back four that knows what it's doing, mate. Itls a shambles as it was last season. He's been in charge for about 5 months and all he's done defence wise is to tell them to get behind the ball and press from midfield. Goals against will come down with that - at the expense of attacking prowess, btw.

He goes downhill similar to Distin...quite rapidly in recent year. Not sure who to play with Williams till January.

Kone? I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Attitude stinks.

In fact Kone and Sissoko were the targets last summer and if thats the case I'm not expecting a massive improvement on this lot.

I can see changes he's made defensively mate and minus tonight we were a million miles away from the shambles of last season. Wasn't he hasn't rectified is Coleman seems to be undroppable when he's been gash for 2 years for the most part, Jags looks gone, Mori is absolutely crap and ahead hasn't fixed the keeper issue

Tonight was as close as I ever want to see us mimicking the shambles that was last season under Martinez

Who did he partner successfully last week?

He's played Funes Mori in a pair four times this season and we won three against West ham, WBA and Stoke and drew with Spurs.

Kone was good for Sunderland last season and probably the main reason they stayed up.
This season has been a different story however I believe he no longer wants to be there so can't be arsed.
I would deffo take schinderlin from united if he is available. (Iv probably spelt his name wrong but I think you know who I mean).

Mate, the only tangible difference is that Williams has replaced Stones. That's it.

We were also a shambles versus City. Two nailed on pens that were missed just masked that fact.

Sadly his days as a guaranteed starter are now clearly over. There's no shame in saying that, he's been a furstvteam regular for ten years now in the toughest league in the world. He has been a great centreback for us but time has caught up.

Looks the way it is. To be fair. Also think others like Robles, Davies and Holgate shall get their chance now given how poor the players were.

Jagielka should have been dropped after that city game because they were 2 ridiculous pens to give away.

You see it your way mate and say there's no difference, I see more discipline but like I've said that's gone to [Poor language removed] this evening as that was a Martinez performance if ever I saw one. Heartless, passive, no bottle.

They physically knock me sick with such gutless displays. I could pick 11 lads and lasses on this very forum and shove them on a pitch and I would get more heart and desire than that group of gutless knobheads pretending to be professional footballers.
