I thought Pienaar's favored position is left sided winger. But he can slot in nearly anywhere in the middle of the park. Davey seems to only go for versatily to keep a small squad.

You would have to be a massively optimistic person to rely on VDM to hold up the right. As much as I would like him to be able to do that.

For me, its the lack of width that is the whole reason why Moyes teams look so poor when attacking, so if we could address that problem, we could have a very exciting team on our hands.

Yes he his. haha

well, we didn't do too badly last season, AJ gave us a real striking threat and with cahill, arteta, vaughn, osman etc chipping in we did very well for goals last season.

Our GD was superb.

As for VDM, I just think that because of all the coverage he is receiving on the OS it looks like they are trying to hype him up.

Yeah I know Rob we did get a superb goal difference, and on occasions we looked pretty good going forward, but there's no getting away from the fact that we still dont look that comfortable in the final third.

We can score now (which makes a change), but we have been clearly lacking width, hence Arteta being moved from right to left wing all in the same match.

You put two wingers into our first eleven, and there wont be many teams in the premiership who could beat us.

he's in La with the squad (y)

looking at vic in that pic he looks broad across the shoulders - makes me wonder just how stocky primus is because he dwarfed vic in the last match.
