Agents are supposed to ensure you get a move which improves your career in more than just financial terms. It's no good going to a team where you'll be a bench warmer because in the long term those agents won't make more money. The move to Spurs has been terrible for Pienaar's resale value. Pretty sure that's what Matthew was getting at.

yep, after lennon got injured he said that hes got no-one else who could play on the right, may not be his ideal position but pienaar def could play on the right, but if we are lokoing at getting a striker on loan(moyes has said so on OS) then pienaar can only be on a permanent i think(max 3 loans??)
He will be near 30 in Jan and will have 3 Years left on a nice fat contract from Spurs.

I agree, football wise, the move has been a massive failure, but his bank balance and the %% his Agent got was the best deal he could get.

But that's the question - if he genuinely is/was happy to go for the money then he made the right choice. If he went for the football and is now unhappy at his lack of gametime then he made the wrong choice.
Personally at the time I wasn't overly happy with how all this went down with Pienaar as it was frustrating seeing someone so important for our team leave for peanuts (excuse the pun.) However now, if he really felt it was a good/last chance to move to a club with champions league ambitions and it wasn't for the money then I could appreciate why he would feel frustrated too. Like I've said though...... money or football? In this day and age sadly you find yourself becoming more and more cynical with regard to footballers and the stories you hear. For now though if we get some desperately needed improvement in our forward play for a few months to boost us up the table, I say bring him back!

Last time I looked, it was 4 long term Loans and so many short term Loans.
I think the Max figure was 8 Loans, some restrictions on domestic, long term, short term and so on.
But I think 8 was the magic figure.

tbh i dont have a clue what the loan rules are, i either made it up in my own head or read it on here, either way its prob not right, so......loan it is!(maybe) what?
