Pienaar to return?

Drenthe is better no doubt but pienaar would be good on a 6 month basis to play in the center as a creative player.

No chance at 5M, a young holtby could be bought for a few extra million!

You have mentioned holtby a few times, I have never seen him play. Who would you liken him to in the premier league? Is he similar to pienaar.
 
Holtby is the real deal. He will be on the German national team. an attacking midfielder with loads of pace who is just going to keep getting better. I am going to try to see him play in March when Schalke 04 come to Kaiserslautern. A GOT scouting report if you will. I just don't see this kid coming to Everton. Price tag is just too high.

He is kind of a smaller kid, not lightning fast but a good engine with loads of gas in the tank. He creates well, has a good eye for the developing play and is a threat to score himself. He was a big reason Mainz stayed up in the Bundesliga last year. Holtby has 3 goals so far this year. He has started all but one match so far this year. Holtby is their number 10. We don't have a snow ball's chance in hell or a fart's chance in a tornado of signing this kid. Will post back with my observations after seeing him in person.
 
Yeah get Holtby on and Drenthe on perm. Then we're good to go. (well, add a proper striker).
That said the only time I saw him was him playing for Schalke04 here in Europa qualifications where they lost to HJK and he was quite invisible then.
 

Yeah as said he's not lightening quick but can build up play create chances and is very versatile. A perfect No. 10. He has played alot of his football as a DCM this year under the new boss which has affected his goals and assists and is far from happy about playing there. He's a blue and has said he'd love to play for us. And if Arteta being sold was being done with the view that his money would be used for a replacement holtby would be perfect. Not sure if true but I'm sure his release fee is around 7M. Could be wrong on that mind.

Does anyone know if Pienaar wants to return? Did he get a lot of abuse before he left? What is his relationship with Moyes like these days?

If I left a job where I felt undervalued and received what I felt was unfair treatment - would I go back? What do YOU think! :D

Personally, I would love Pienaar to return. It would make me feel warm inside. :)
