I think it would, eventually. After Moyes has repetitive brain farts and messes around with the system for 2 months. Pienaar can play in different positions so I don't think it'd be a major problem after the usual tinkering.

You have forgotten the unwritten rule that Cahill must start no matter how he is playing.

That would be my dream line up. We'd get the best out of Baines, the best out of Drenthe and have a threat through the middle too. We'd create a lot of chances for Jelavic so if he's any good he should manage to score.

But this is David Moyes. If we do make these signings expect to see Drenthe used sparingly before being released at the end of the year, and expect to see Cahill in there regardless of his form, lack of creativity or even injuries.

Yep play pienaar in the middle till Donovan goes back. Then stick him on left drenthe right. Fellani and rodwell/Gibson the 2 pivots in cm.

Not necessarily, Cahill got dropped for Osman earlier on in the season and dropped for 4-4-2 a couple of times aswell.. Cahill has been in better form though in the last couple of games, looked back to his old self playing alongside Denis
