Pienaar to return?

How good would it be if we went behind Redknapp's back and robbed him after saggy chops said no? D'ohhhh I'm asking for too much. Love you Stevie!

I like to imagine Pienaar roundhouse kicked Redknapp in his pasty chops as he was walking out. Guess we'll never know.

Credit where credit is due, this transfer is purely down to Kenwright. He missed the game to convince Tottenhams chairman, and managed to do it after Harry had said no. Maybe he isnt the best for the club, but atleast he tried his best this transfer window.

Would he have come back if he was playing first team football at White Hart Lane, i think not. We as fans want the best NOT second best, we are to him his second choice. Maybe God wrongfully advised him to go to Spurs!

Welcome back Steven 'Greed is good' Pienaar.

positives:

hopefully sorted our creativity deficit with this signing. In other words finally some service to our poor strikers.

we know he's a good player

we know he can play for us, works well with Baines on the left and gets along with the squad

negatives

how much of that ludicrous 70k a week are we paying?

another loan. Osman aside, our creative players are no longer owned by Everton. Drenthe, Donovan and Pienaar can walk away.

Not fit. (only played 14 mins of season)

Will have to win over sections of the fan base after his ambitious move to Spurs (his ambition was to earn 70k a week)

i wouldnt worry to much about august with a bit of luck churchill chops will be behind bars for fiddling and we will get him from levy and churchill chops will not be pinching any of our targets for a few years oh yes oh yes

This. All day long.

Theres some serious work needed to be done in the summer...and I dont see the 3 loans, drenthe, straq, or pienaar staying

Excellent news, Pienaar's a quality footballer and has the workrate to go with it, he won't have to do much to get the doubters back on side. I have to hand it to Moyes, I think he's got himself into a promising situation here. The possibility of getting Drenthe and Pienaar on relatively cheap deals, Barkley's coming through, Fellaini and Rodwell will continue to improve, Osman always does better with proper footballers around him. There's some tasty options there, and the makings of a very decent team. That's not to say it will all fall together, far from it really, but I think he's done some very good buisness.

Pienaar will get injured in his first game back and be out for the rest of his loan period. My friends don't call me eyeoore for nothing....
