....if they’ve agreed a fee it makes no difference to them if Spurs match it. The fee is agreed, they won’t get any more, it’ll be up to the player to decide where he wants to go.
Yes Rooney we got an offer for 30 million straight cash from the barcodes - but Rooney preferred United we got 21 million plus add-ons .. Plus rejects .....

Why do people believe the red echo? They have been out of the loop for years and consistently wrong on our transfers: they have no idea whether it's on or not
Southampton trying to get Levy to put a decent bid in, the Danish James McCarthy has no intention of signing for Everton

If its not happening then would be easier for the club just to come out officially and say so.

Would cause less grief from fans constantly out the loop hearing one story then another completely contrasting.

Like Zaha all over again this.

...but surely Southampton have nothing to gain from Spurs putting another bid in. If they’ve agreed a price, Spurs only need to match it. Then it’ll be up to Hojbjerg to decide.

If he has been at USM FF and agreed personal terms, much will depend on whether he’s said he’s committed to joining us.

I don't really expect the clubs to be out and about telling everyone about the transfer dealings that go on behind closed doors. The real issue is that somehow reporting things that are absolutely not happening isn't a bad thing for the "journalists" to do. If there were some standards on that front we wouldn't have one group saying one thing and one group another.

Tbf the club did say they’d only bid the once for Zaha, it was Sky pushing the second cash plus players bid
