I'd give Coleman a 2 year extension if we brought someone in. Always have Holgate or Godfrey if there is a long term injury to 1st choice. Coleman still offers something and when he does come on highlights the attacking deficiencies of playing Holgate. Baines leaving sort of worked out as it gave Godfrey some game time but it could have been a problem.

With us struggling to get scoring regularly I'd like us to try and get Bellotti in from Torino. He's a really hard worker, can shoot with either foot and can play as main striker or along side a partner. He's 27 and with Torino struggling at the wrong end of the table he might fancy a new challenge.

it’s all good and well saying if offered you’d take the money for Sigurdsson but he might not want to move. At this stage in his career he could well be looking for a lucrative Bosman or an extension to his current deal.
Its easy to list & assume transfers but much harder for them to materialise. Complex situations, plenty going on behind the scenes, better to sit back and see what happens.
....he’s looked very ordinary at U23 level, much will depend on whether we bring another keeper in.

It'd be hard to turn money down for him mate, but say we get another CM so Sigurdsson never has to play deeper again, then he can be used as a backup for James and an option off the bench which I'd be happy with tbh.
I feel he buys us another year or 2 to find a younger Attacking-mid.
Though for the wages he's on I couldn't complain if he was sold.
To be fair he rose to the occasion, for the two games, (was it two ? ) He was brought in for, never let anyone down, deserves another chance.
...he did fine. I actually think we have better prospect at U23.
