As much as I agree that he doesn't look particularly happy here (I think he moved in order to play regularly and get back into the England team, but that door seems to have closed on him now), I can't see many southern clubs being both willing and able to match his current wages.
Saying that, he could be ready for a move to an MLS-type league sooner rather than later.
We really do mess this all up more than a few players we need to get rid of there - yet useless won't get a penny for them ......

Offering deals to players not good enough is how Pennington is still an Everton player. Feeney will likely spend his career knocking about around league 1, league 2 level

It’s hard to say with Morgan with only 1 loan spell which he then got injured in. You’d hope that the guys behind the scenes have seen enough to be not convinced by him but he wouldn’t be the first to prove them wrong. I think I had higher hopes with him being the under 23s captain and being praised a lot
