Dele Alli at Besiktas (Süper Lig, Turkey) was not in the matchday squad for their 0-1 home defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir

Jean-Phillipe Gbamin at Trabzonspor (Süper Lig, Turkey) was booked in the 4th minute and substituted off at half time with the scoreline at 1-1 in their 3-2 away defeat to Adana Demirspor.

HT substitution from JPG in the Turkish league - he must have been terrible.

Unfortunately, we will be lumped with him for a longer. We need Dele, JPG and Gomes to do well, which doesn't appear to be the case...

Believe he was on a yellow and had given a minor foul away after his booking. Was potentially a soft/minor foul away from a red.

No idea how he played, but would assume his withdrawal was a precaution?

5 year deals mate, for JPG and Andre. Not uncommon, especially if a player is in demand. No idea how much JPG was in demand. but his transfer fee would suggest there was more than just us interested.

Gomes was targeted by the spammers don't forget, so I suspect we had little choice but to offer him 5. Seeing as we badly wanted him. Bear in mind, a lot of people would have fumed if he'd jibbed us for them. Hindsight eh?

Rondon 3 years though???? Why? Madness.

rondon only had 2 with 1 year option, hes gone next summer.

Sorry. Just googled player contracts and it said 2024! Maybe they have to include the potential extension? Is it an option or would it kick in if he plays a certain amount? Either way I hope it isn't activated but nothing surprises me with this club!

I'm hopeful he'll bugger off in January.

I actually had a bit of hope he could play a decent-ish bit-part role this season. I thought he;d be fitter and stronger after a full season with us - during which he mostly trained - and then a full preseason. I've seen him be a handful before. But then I watched us against Fleetwood, and he couldn't even impose himself on their centre backs. He won't trouble any centre back in the Premier League ever again now, imo, unless they're goosed maybe*.

* Clutching at straws.
