I backed DCL up untill last season then I turned on him and wrote him off as a championship player at best, I think it was the motivation he needed really

Alex Iwobi - up until about 5 games ago I hated seeing his name on the team sheet, he's looked the part lately

Morgan Schneiderlin - thought he'd find his level that attracted man utd to him

Delph - like others said I thought he'd be a Gareth Barry type player who was brilliant

Gareth Barry - thought he was too old and finished

This is why I pay to watch them and not get paid to sign them

So many over the years, Sandro is a recent one, I thought he was going to be a top striker. Even when he first went back on loan to Spain I thought he would bang them in but he has been bad even back in Spain. Maybe that 1 season at Malaga was a fluke

John Collins was one of the most disappointing signings for me. Sadly couldn't translate his performances in a higher standard of league.

Sometimes you get a Gough, sometimes you get a Ginola. It shows how dark times were back then that I was genuinely excited about having an over the hill, overweight and disinterested Ginola signing for us.

Gorgeous hair though, worth the admission fee alone.

DCL. He had never shown anything like his scoring before. Thought it was a fluke. Hell, Michu is an example. Turns out he's not bad at the footballs.

Tbf I had almost always complemented his overall game just that his scoring record was atrocious.
