I honestly thought that Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson were excellent transfers when they were announced. I winced at the fee for Sigurdsson, but was convinced he would be good for 10 goals and 15 assists per season.

Bent is a great shout. Arrived with a journeyman tag. Absolutely worked his knackers off as the lone striker and did it very well.

On track for Godfrey. To an extent DCL. I wasn't as negative as some but wouldn't have said he could be this either. Probably Holgate to an extent as well but I honestly still am not sure how good Holgate is.
Going the other way I was really high on getting Sigurdsson and he wasn't what I thought all the way. Liked Kean a lot. Still feel like that was more an issue of circumstance but it didn't work here no doubt.

Only one that springs to mind is Stones - thought he would go on to be world class when he was scoring panenka pens in pre season but hasn't seemed to push on after his move to Man City.
On a stag do in Budapest, I went out of my way to find a crap bar that was showing the Under 21s Euros final between Spain and Germany just so I could get a sneak preview of him. I can’t remember him touching the ball.
