Playing Premier League games overseas

This will die a death when you find that Chelsea will play the then bottom team in Moscow, Pompey in St Petersberg, Arsenal to play in France, Utd, [Poor language removed] Villa, Derby to play in the states, Citeh will go to Thailand (their owner won't because of fears of arrest) West Ham will play in Iceland, Spurs will end up in Isreal, the other ten teams will make up the baggage ourselves amongst them.

What will they get per game, £1 to 2 mil and a lot of pissed off fans. It will happen

What we have got (the Prem) is mass selling power and appel, thats why all this will happen. Say we get Derby, say in Asia, Wyness would be a knob to turn down 1-2 million quid. That amount would be a drop in the provible ocean for some clubs, but, for us and the [Poor language removed] (lol) would do just nice for 4-5 days work.

On a serious note however, I've seen figures suggesting these matches could be worth approximately £5 million to each Premier League team. With so many club owners now in the game in order to make money it's easy to see why such a proposal has been raised.

exactly bruce.

5 million per club for one game.

right there is why this will happen. the league is awash with foreign investment who will trip over their grandmothers for that sort of cash.

Terrible idea.

Why? - Its not exactly fair that some clubs will have an extra game against Man Utd while others will have an extra game against say, Derby.

Bruce surely it depends on where these games are played and which teams play there. With so much Russian influence at Chelsea would it be fair for them to play in Moscow As this is an extra game it will effect the balance of fairness in the league, the age old you play at ours and we play at yours. Will the matches be decide by lottery, could the big three get drawn against each other. If that is the case then we could also see for example Derby against Fulham, one match will raise millions the other will get such a small gate it would be a waste of time. Do the clubs equally share the profits, ie all profits pooled, I can't see the big three agreeing to that because of the risk to their players and investment. This is a can of worms that is best left shut IMO

yeah. this seeded crap is bollocks. hopefully we will be in the top 5 so we will avoid that headache.. but it's not the point! everyone can see it's a way to keep the fattest cats fatter.

and what if we drew liverpool? even if the derby was in seoul and i could go, the match would be a shadow without the true supporters there. imagine it was a match to decide if we got in to europe!

well.. it would be full of 70,000 reds because all this neutral ground [Poor language removed] is nonsense.

you want to believe that man u playing in asia would not have the whole stadium kitted out in their fake kits going mental every time they touch the ball? neutral ground my arse.
