Poll: Complete the season at neutral venues behind closed doors

While people are still dying all these nonesensical plans to " restart " are an affront to all!. Imo until all fatalities have stopped for 14 days on the bounce no football related schemes should even be considered. As I said in an earlier post we must null and void as all the suggested scenario's are based on financial/self serving greed.Safety must come first !. It's about time a bit of honesty was shown by the FA and the Premier League. What they are showing us at the moment is highly distasteful and an indecent rush whilst nobody is safe!.

Mate everywhere is looking to restart in fact lots have never stopped so it’s not really an affront to all , there is going to be an element of risk in all businesses that are restarting and restart they have to inc sport otherwise vast swathes of it won’t be here by the end of the year or shells of what they were

I guess we’ll have to watch all the games on tv now, eh dad?
Yes son. We won’t be back to Goodson this year...maybe next.
Well the match is getting ready to kickoff, anyway. Which team is which?
The team in the blue hazmat suits, that’s the Toffees and the team in the red hazmat suits, them’s the RS. I predict 0-0.

Once this goes behind closed doors I’m finished with the game. The sport has always belonged to the working man. It’s about time the fans started to act on their principles and tell those concerned to shove the game right up their backside. The fans come first, and are the ones that should have a choice of how it’s supposed to go.
Hasn't for a while in this country anyway the prices of some clubs season tickets

Mate sadly the least believable part about your post is the predicted scoreline

The worst part of this is the level of testing being carried out on the players and staff. If this doesn't stop other people in this country who need testing being tested then no problem but i dont believe it will. Frontline and vulnerable people should be the focal point of all testing then if there's any capacity remaining it should go to the next level down not to people in a highly paid industry just because they can pay. They'll be telling us next its important that all footballers should get the vaccine first so they can start the next season.

If they can do it safely, yes. If not, no. I don’t understand people saying it’s a slap in the face to fans or anything to that effect. For a lot of fans, just being able to watch their favorite team or player on tv, whether the prem or something else would be seen as a good thing and a respite from everything going on. As long as playing doesn’t put the players in danger or take medical resources away from those who need them, I have no issue with finding ways to play.

People complaining about fairness, I get it it, but is it fair to clubs who really need the tv money to survive to just stop? Is it fair to the sides currently in promotion places to just say “too bad?”
With the greatest of respect, that's because you don't go. Of course it makes no odds to you, it's absolutely no different at all is it, because you wouldn't be going to the game whether you were allowed or not. So why would you care?

For people who go though, it's a bit different. My dad's not missed a derby for about 60 years, the thought of not being there for one matters to him. Clubs always talk about how important the fans when they want something from them, but this would go a long way to showing that the fans aren't actually important at all. That may be true, and maybe some people have been a bit gullible to swallow the whole '12th man' line, but it's a line that's regularly pushed to get us to commit our money and time when they need it. When they don't though, they're evidently happy to just forget about us.

You’re 100% right. It is different. And if we’re viewing it as:
Option A - no games, fans can’t go as they don’t exist
Option B - games, fans can’t go for safety reasons

Either way fans can’t attend so why not finish so long as the players can do so safely?

I take your point though as I can’t relate, myself. However for a parallel, I’d still prefer NFL games behind closed doors this season, even if I can’t attend. And I live about 10 minutes from the stadium.

Perhaps there will be a move to classify players as essential employees under law so that the clubs will not carry any liability under law for any risk to anyone's health. Here we go, here we go, here we go.

I wasn't saying that as a criticism by the way, just pointing out that it is different.

Personally I don't see the point in finishing in these circumstances. If you restart 3 months after the last game, with different squads, different kits, different stadiums, no fans and potentially completely different rules (subs, length of games etc) then how on earth can you pretend it's the same season? It's like triggers broom.
