Agree with Mouts Koeman is the new Moyes, De Boer for me on a one week rolling contract in case it goes breasts up.

Koeman, while manager of Southampton, came on Dutch radio saying he hopes Hiddink helps get him the Chelsea job.

He also didn't shake hands with Nigel Clough just because Sheffield United beat them in a cup tie, and upset Garry Monk here.

How long before Koeman sees a bigger payday or club or opportunity and leaves us? De Boer for me every single time for every single reason.

Oh wow, avoid the Dutch Moyes.

Team De Boer.

That has been the most depressing thing about our lost eighteen months.

I have lost touch with the wider football world as most weekends I cannot bring myself to watch MOTD :(
My fitting a satellite dish the size of Jodrell Bank so that I could watch MOTD seemed to coincide with our demise,so in a way I feel guilty. The fortune it cost me must be some type of karmic pay back.

"The visitors’ strategy on Sunday seemed to hinge on right winger Anwar El Ghazi beating defenders in one-on-ones, but with him completely isolated, he found himself faced with a line of three defenders at times. The same went for Amin Younes on the left. Arek Milik’s movement was non-existent, while Davy Klaassen failed to make many connections with team-mates in advanced areas. For a team centred around a passing philosophy, the only way they were going to get through the back line was by individual quality."

Replace El Ghazi with Deulofeu, Younes with Kone, Milik with Lukaku, Klaassen with Barkley.

That's what we've been watching for 2 years.

I ask for this thread to remain. I ask people just vote and don't just criticise it!

I feel Pellegrini is a consideration, but considering what's been said in the media by Frank De Boer's agent, (that he would 'love' to manage Everton) and a few others regarding Ronald Koeman, which would you pluck for a new phase and exciting era for Everton?

no need to include Mourinho or Pellegrini for reasons explained. no need for cheese on toast. if it had to be one, which would you prefer?
While neither are my first choice, out of the two of go for Koeman.

I'd pee my pants if we got De Boer/Bergkamp/Stamm. Jeez Id even be ok if we changed our home strip to orange and black if that was the deal breaker.

Neither.

De Boer would be a shot in the dark.

Koeman has done decent at Southampton. Big thrill? Prior that what did he do at Valencia, Benfica and the rest? Football nomad and flavour of the month like Laudrup/Swansea was after Moyes left.

Neither is thrilling me here.

If we appoint Koeman it will be a signal of intent to be utter no marks in the league, the man has been a failure for the last 10 years, hasnt won a single pot in that time.

A mediocre manager of limited ability without any standing in the game who can only sign utter no marks.

SWERVE
Agreed.

At Valencia he basically was about to do exactly what Martinez did at Wigan mate, they where going down untilt hey sacked him with 5 games to go, but hey he did win a cup...

Took over the 3rd best team in Spain - had them in 15th - 2 points above the drop with 5 games left on a run of 6 straight losses within 6 months
Took over the reigning Portugeuse Champions - within a year had them in 3rd and 12 points off the winners (in a 30 game league)

Spoke to a lad I've known for a few years who is an Ajax fan. I was surprised at just how dim a view he held of De Boer.

Reckons he didn't manage the turnover of their big players - Suarez, Eriksen, Alderweireld, Vertonghen etc replaced by John Heitinga and Ryan Babel.

Sorry to piss on the football hipsters chips.

Koeman just because he has experience in the league. De boer would be a risk because he has no experience in the premier league that's not to say he wouldn't do well. I just hope that whoever comes does not bring a player like kone with them ha
