Big yes for me.Wenger is one of the greatest managers of all time, who has been subjected to ridiculous abuse, from a certain section of Arsenal fans.Mainly those of the spoilt brat variety. It wouldn't be a long term appointment. But Wenger would be an ideal fit for us, while we rebuild from the damage that Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh caused, and attempt to close the gap between ourselves end the elite sides.
He's too old now, nothing to prove either.we need a young hungry manager who wants to build a new era of his own.

Good god man they won three out of the last five FA Cups!

Yeah, but winning title after title and challenging for the CL is still fresh in their mind tbf. I mean ten years and he doesn't buy a top class keeper, centre back and a proper holding midfielder. They have had some terrific players and just lacking in three areas and he constantly negates that and buys more attackers. It would drive me utterly mad.

What was once a great squad is massively thin, they don't have players like Walcott and giroud as Backup anymore, it's iwobi playing every game with no backup option.

Despite what a lot of spoilt brat piers Morgan Wannabees think in comparison to our 23 year trophy drought the fella is a winner,we can't have enough people around the place who are winners,if we cannot attract a simeone/ancellotti,we surely can't turn our noses up at this?Hopefully wenger would see us as a fresh start, new challenge as maybe looking at it from his side he has gone stale at arsenal?

I don't know if anybody's mentioned this but Wenger has always been extremely resistant to working with a DoF.
In fact one the reasons behind his decision to quit is believed to be the fact that Arsenal have installed a whole team of them, under various titles.
Since we appear about to appoint Marcel Brands it seems to me this story has no legs whatsoever.
Sorry.

While i do see your point.Roberto Martinez was a young hungry manager, who wanted to build an era of his own as well, and we all saw how things ended up there.I honestly think at this stage, we need an experienced manager, who knows how to win a few trophies.Wenger ticks all of those boxes.

I would defo have him over Silva, if that was the choice.
Does he still have the hunger, has he gone stale, is his age a problem? Maybe a change of scenery, and a new challenge, might invigorate him? I’m not sure.
I think he’s more likely to go abroad in my opinion. We’re a bit of a basket case at the moment. Could he arsed with just how much work we need doing on us.

I suppose looking at it from Wengers point of view.If he comes here, does well and win a trophy, then he can retire on a high, and stick it up to to his former critics at Arsenal. But there is no doubt there is a serious rebuilding job required here.I think it all depends on whether he is contented with what he has won already, or as you say would he prefer to go abroad, or whether he would like a chance with another club in England, to show that Arsenal were wrong to get rid of him.
