POLL: Would you like David Moyes back as Everton manager?

Ok, FWIW these are my reasons as to why Moyes wont be coming back:

- it would have been announced by now
- if going for like-for-like we would be better getting FdB (at least he has contacts on the continent and would probably bring more to the role than DM)
- as a club/institution we are moving forward. DM is a throw back to an earlier age
- Moyes is a firm favourite of BK and if, as we suspect, Moshiri is looking to distance himself from BK and dilute his influence then the last thing he will want is to bring back a former 'company lackie' because it makes him look weak and adds to the impression that BK is still the man in charge (and which he probably would still like to believe).

Like most of us I still don't really know who the next manager will be but I will nail my flag to the mast and suggest that it will not be Emery. I don't know why but I still believe it will be someone who we haven't really given much thought to or felt was out of our reach. Whichever way, I am confident that it will not be Mr Moyes.

Thank your for this. Will help those who have the fear of Moyes coming back.

That is assuming he was first choice.

It looks as though he's on a shortlist, what happens if all those ahead of him don't happen?

All opinions of course, but Ronald de Boer has said a number of times now that Everton haven't contacted Frank.

It's a fair assumption that he isn't being considered, if he does eventually - it's because we had others turn us down, or we decided against for whatever reason.

Bill Kenwright, and a significant minority (example - thousands who voted in this poll), disagree.

I'm not sure. If removing the stink of the previous regime was of such importance to Moshiri to influence managerial choice, then I don't think we'd be promoting Elstone to the board, or having post match interviews with Moshiri hugging Kenwright.

Nailed it.

Nobody knows, but I'm not convinced we can rule out Moyes completely just yet. I'm sure Kenwright remains an influence, credible reports have claimed Moyes has held talks, Moyes is doing his PR bit and him withdrawing from Celtic/Villa...

I think it all boils down to where Moyes is on the list, and how many above us don't happen for whatever reason.

Is it kerching day tomorrow DD ?

Or is it click off day?

Odds on to be next manager of Sunderland if Big Sam gets the England job

I am in the minority of liking Moyes even towards the end. Good luck to him, hope he does well
