POLL: Would you like David Moyes back as Everton manager?

Firstly, he was given 11 seasons to win something...won nothing. He is not a winner...his one real chance was bottled by conservative tactics.

Secondly, he lowered Evertonians expectations that plucky little Everton were the best pound for pound team in the league. In other words, a 4th place trophy was about as high as we could ever expect.

Lastly, his dealings with us with Baines and Fellaini after he left for United were a massive two fingers up to Everton FC.

He served his purpose and outlived his welcome by about 3 years.

lol

Because individual changes are a reason for not wanting a manager back...

I get why people don't want Moyes back, I'm one of them. However, it's not on the back of any 'dross' he's served up, it's out of principle that we're looking forward as a club and not dwelling on the past.

Doesn't make it any less of a reason though. I just happened to use that example an why things got stale with him and there wouldn't be any reason to bring him back.

I really don't want him back but he doesn't deserve the slating. On the whole he did well over his 11 years and I believe his team with the Baines Pienaar combination with Arteta at his best produced much better football than the clown did over the last 2 years. He won the manager of the year 3 times with Sir Alex only winning 4. When he won manager of the year I would say that the majority thought at the time that it was warranted. Look what he inherited and handed over to the clown. Look what the clown inherited and how the team was performing when he left. Defoe time to move on but really don't get the support for a manager whose side regularly let 3 goals in and didn't see that as an issue.

Why would ANYONE seriously want Moyes back?! Ill always be grateful for his time here (the first seven to eight years were great) but times have changed and I wouldn't want him back in a million years.

...I have to say I don't have a particular preference but we are entering a fresh new phase in our history and I think we need a fresh new face at the helm, not somebody who left us for better things but failed and now wants a second innings.
