Pontus Jansson Brentford v Leeds

Brentford fans talking about wanting Leeds to win because of racist abuse received at Goodison.

Their manager has already said they want to finish off as strong as possible and will be going out win. Doesn’t matter what their fans want. Come match day I doubt they will want to lose the game.

If Leeds win they will have deserved to and if we don’t get the job done Thursday then that’s on us.

If Leeds win by 10 goals and Pontus Jansson scores 10 own goals then I’ll agree.

Pontus Jansson is a professional, he left Leeds in dire situation, so would it not be a capping way to end his first season in the Prem, by relegating the side who let him go in acrimonious fashion?

Don't care what any Sky pundit or millennial says - football way WAY WAY better back then. Dont know if it was the heavier harder ball, or the uneven muddy pitches, but it was much more of a spectacle and a lot less predictable. If I had a time machine I'd be happily watching football again no doubt.

It’s maybe not ideal.

There’s no way on earth he’d not be professional, you’d think, but subconsciously his head might not be in it. Everyone remembers Lescott’s horror show in the 6-1 loss to Arsenal.

But there’s nothing we can do about it. Same accusations could be levelled at a few of ours when City beat us to take the title off Liverpool in 2014 but, again, what can you do?

Just got to hope he plays well.

Edit: I actually think he’s crap, so even if he does have a shocker you couldn’t accuse him of not trying.

I remember that game and Utd getting relegated. I was working in a factory in St.Helens at the time and support among the workforce was pretty evenly split between Everton, the RS and Utd. (plus a few City fans)
We all gave the Utd. fans some unmerciful stick at the time . . .
something I regret very much given our current predicament
