NoAre we not allowed to wear poppies now? Have the wokes cancelled them? Is it offensive to remember war heroes who died for their country?
Somme mothers do ave them !!This is true. I know him, he doesn't live in the house anymore but sleeps in a trench he dug in the back garden.

I mean, I know you're trying to defend him, but that really just makes him sound even more mental. That guy has his house like that all the time. Its not an attention seeking thing that lasts for the duration of the appeal then gets forgotten for a year. Its fair enough to knock the idiots who do stuff like that once a year purely for the attention and then forget about the subject but this guy is obviously very passionate about it.
Meh. If he's mental then whatever. So long as he's not harming anyone I don't see what the problem is. Loads of people think that being as arsed as everyone (myself obviously included) on here is about a team full of multi-millionaires playing football is as mental as you can get.I mean, I know you're trying to defend him, but that really just makes him sound even more mental.

This really.Sadly, and I think this is the gist of this thread, it has now become a case of 'one-upmanship' and tasteless tat merchandise
Everything in that picture is offensive. Anybody who chooses to drink in there MUST be on a register somewhere.
Yes, disgraceful. And from January 2023, repeats of classic shows like Blackadder and Fawlty Towers can only be shown if they're dubbed into Albanian with Somali subtitles. Are we not allowed to wear poppies now? Similar here.Nothing against anyone who wants to wear a poppy
I just tend to donate the money these days and don't wear the poppy itself
I think it's become an overly politicised symbol and the original ideal behind it has been cheapened as consequence, and as a result I don't really feel comfortable wearing one anymore
What is a 'woke'?
