As the Pompey players run out tonight against Sunderland at Fratton Park it could be the end of a long tenure of the Sea-side club.

Tomorrow they face a winding up order from HM Revenues and Customs.

Hang on - if that happens I'm assuming all games involving Portsmouth this season would be void? - meaning we'd drop points?

Typically, Liverpool would come out of it well, gaining points on their Champions League hopeful rivals.

Another feather in ald arrys cap - initiating the bankruptcy of pompey - they bought too big, they won the FA cup, he fuc*ed off - they went bust.....here endeth the lesson..........

don't think revenues and customs are interested in points deductions hayee, they are looking at a winding up order, defunct, cease to exist.

You can do deals with the police...you can do deals with the CPS...but you don't mess with HMRC...if you owe them then thats it...lights out and goodnight Vienna...

Scary people...they can ruin your day

personally not bothered, but you'd have to have a heart of ice not to feel gutted for the fans of any club forced to shut up shop.
