Sad state of the times in football.
I think the FA are partially responsible, but it must be tough on the fans, who like them or loathe them, are just fans like us.

breaking news....

gone into administration. will be deducted 9 points.

I feel sorry for the fans, but nothing for the club. Why did they only get a 9 point deduction? I thought the usual penalty was a minimum 10 point deduction for clubs going into administration. Just a thought, is it because the prem play less games?

It would be amusing if somewhere during this process the club was obliged to change it's name. I'd love to see the look on his face. How much do you think laser treatment would cost for a proper make over.

Chortle, I didn't think about that.

I'm sure he can sell his clown shoes to cover some of the cost.

Suppose seeing this makes you realise how lucky we are........I know we all had a bit of a hissy fit after last nights capitulation, but in reality we are still a top six side with good players/ a good manager (when they want to be).

Portsmouth now face relegation and most probably meltdown, all because they over reached into the premiership honeypot and forgot their place in the grand order of things.

- ok they won the fa cup, but im sure they would swap that now for stability (something we have in abundance)

:lol::lol::lol:
Don't bother with the laser treatment. Just scrub it off, good and proper. Any volunteers?

I Think its tragic I Spent a lot of time down there in the close season a few years ago and they where sound

(y)

I wouldn't celebrate the demise of a club with so much history, regardless of rivalry. At the very least it can serve as a lesson to other clubs, as someone else has said. :pint:

I feel sorry for them, but they did behave as a collective set of bells cheering Arsenal on when they were tonking them a couple of seasons ago, all for the benefit of the Sky cameras. They're like a Newcastle-lite in my view like.

They shouldn't tolerate that biff with the big hat and the tattoos either, he's needs dropping.

Lets hope they don't go bust, we go more behind 4th

As the Pompey players run out tonight against Sunderland at Fratton Park it could be the end of a long tenure of the Sea-side club.

Tomorrow they face a winding up order from HM Revenues and Customs.

No club in the 2 divisions will ever go extinct. Won't ever happen, forget it.
