He's a quality player with a one in 3 strike rate off the wing and would 100% improve our side. We're not talking about signing bolasie who had scored 2 goals a season and relied solely on his pace. So we haven't been there and done that.

If you think he's too expensive for us fair enough but you seem to be making out he isn't good enough for us and that's just plain wrong.

He doesn’t play off the wing anymore by the looks of it . Like you said buying teams best players costa a fortune , look at siggy, paid 10-15m over his value, I like siggy btw but signing players like zaha isn’t worth it IMO. We are buying them at an inflated price which is risky, if they flop we are stuck paying their massive contracts like bolasie or selling them at a loss . 70m buys you a very high quality player from abroad.

I like him as a punt, has pace, size and can finish maybe a slightly better DCL would be a project, his record is much better than you would think. But yes I would try and find a pacey, finisher who runs in behind in the mould of Lacazette though its fair to say. I was saying Dembele for a few years but his form dipped. Sell Niasse and bring someone like that in and it gives us options of every kind up front.

I take it you don't watch Palace much. He's genuinely dangerous week in week out despite being the focus of the opposition's defense every single time.

I wouldn't spend a fortune on him, especially given we can improve elsewhere first, but give him the credit he's due.
