Possible January striker targets?

But Adrian Silva banged them in for Porto and Portugal, likewise Alcacer for Valencia. They proved they could do it.

Brazilian league is absolutely garbage. Pretty sure 120-year old Juan still plays there.

You jusr contradicted yourself with silva banging them in for porto.
Portugese league is not what it once was, its on par with the spl

Wow. Literally nobody in this entirely thread has indicated anything like that whatsoever. Disgraceful racism accusation to be banding about. They are, or at least were, similar players. Of course they'll be compared when they were both one-in-ten performers playing on opposite wings for the same team.

He's not wrong though.
Subconsiously people do it all the time.
How many tall black tough tackling midfielders have been labelled 'the new vieira'
Or lukaku as a kid was labelled 'the new drogba' despite having pace and not being able to plsy with back to goal

No reason whatsoever to bring it up though is there. Bolasie and Zaha are similar players when they are both fit and firing. Yes they are both black, but that's simply a fact.

Lukaku and Drogba, both big strong physical goalscorers. Similar size, similar characteristics. Lukaku even told people he was a Chelsea fan from a young age.

I get what you're saying though, it's an easy comparison to make. That said, if we had a clumsy useless white fella on the wing I'd be calling him the new Bolasie.

I take it you don't watch Palace much. He's genuinely dangerous week in week out despite being the focus of the opposition's defense every single time.

I wouldn't spend a fortune on him, especially given we can improve elsewhere first, but give him the credit he's due.

Fully agree. He’s one of the best wingers/forwards in the league and would improve us no end.

Like you though, I wouldn’t want us spending what it’d take to sign him (unless Usmanov wants to give us a welcome present) as the money can be better spent elsewhere.

Paul Onuachu from FC Midtjylland supposedly close to getting done.

I assume he’ll have a European passport as he’s been in Denmark for a few years. No caps for Nigeria yet.

He’s 6ft 7 so would give us something different when teams sit back against us and him, Mina and Keane would give something for Sig to pick out from set pieces

lollol had a mare there lad. If you think Porto and Benfica = Celtic and Rangers you need to start watching hockey mate.

The guys right though, the portugese has taken a massive dive the last 5/6 years!
When was the last time any of them top 3 teams did anything of any note in europe?

Yeah looks like a bit of a handful, good with his fee as well and young enough to develop. Another jewel unearthed by Brands here hopefully.

I don’t watch them much you’re right, but what I do see is a decent player in a very average team. He’s tried moving to a bigger club and didn’t last 5 minutes..sorry mate hes not for me,
