Possible January striker targets?

Agree, as long as Richarlson is fit no need to enter the Jan market. Silva set-up relies on all the front 3 + Siggy chipping in with goals, it's not like we are generating tons of chances and squandering them. More goals needed from Walcott & Bernard mind.

No need to panic buy and get another Tosun (not meant as as insult, but he clearly has deficiencies in certain areas of his game). Let's develop the team and tactics with what we have got upfront already (DCL and Tosun are good backups). Then lets get somebody top class to push Richarlson next summer window.

I agree, unless someone amazing is available in January, I can’t see the point of going into the market, the only risk is that Niasse looks like he is leaving, if he does we would have 3 options up front; Richarlison, DCL and Tosun. Which is probably enough, given that we are not in Europe and Walcott can play more centrally if required. in the summer we should sign someone though, though I presume Henry Onyekuru will be able to join us in the summer?

Be more interested in judging what Brands can identify in terms of youth players. Apart from Virginia I don’t think we’ve brought in any youth players yet.

I think he's going to use this season to judge what positions we need as most of them wont make it. The likes of Charsley, Browning, Sambou are all out of contract this season and have only been kept hold of to make up the numbers.

Unless theres special talents out there who'll join us we wont make many signings as we have right back, left back, centre back and centre mid covered for the foreseeable future. (Kenny, Feeney, Astley, Gibson, Robinson, Williams, Baningime, Deeny, Davies, Dowell, Evans, Gordon)

I don't think Silva wants a target man. He wants front three who are uh... like Richalison. :celebrate:

Discussing this earlier with my brother.

For all of Lukakus goals he could be rather static and is certainly less mobile now than in his early years here.

A fluid front 3 who are clinical is what we need. Walcott is perfectly fine for now but we need to be looking for another Richarlison type as a right sided wing forward.

Callum Wilson is very underrated player, at a good age too. He deserves a move to a bigger club at this point. Bournemouth would tumble down the league without his goals though and would demand a king's ransom which I doubt we'd part with.

Kevin Volland is a player who could shine in the right team. Is agile tends to be a slotter but can put out wide as well.

Scouted that boy a while back, reminded me of Henry at the time.

I've seen him live 3 times playing with FC Utrecht at their Galgenwaard stadium (one of my best mates is from there, going back to Utrecht again in few months).

The lad is a beast, strong but relatively quick and decent with the ball, can score in many different ways and he's a team player as well.

Only doubt would be the giant leap toward the premier league and its quality and pace (someone said Cenk?) but I quite fancy him as possible new signing maybe next summer.
