wow man...dancing testtubes haha. you remember any convo details? i expect it was basic stuff like "howya doing" but still....Timothy Leary was a sage, a Merlin of modern times. much misunderstood by the mainstream of the time as you can imagine, but even Dr. Hofmann accepted his work eventually (hell, ol' Albert even accepted Goa Gil near the end)...it'll probably never be legalised, tho'.

still...i'm due another trip with the drenched delirium, been a few years...food for the brain innit

lol

"i expect it was basic stuff like "howya doing" - it really was like that, he honestly said "hows the trip man," I imagine he didn't want to go in too heavy.

".i'm due another trip with the drenched delirium, been a few years...food for the brain innit" - yeh, I still go out out but not so much with the hallucinogens.More the disco biscuits etc. I am bit scared of it all now tbh, some fearful nights on the psilocybin have put paid to that.

Leary's mate Richard Alpert who he run the psilocybin & LSD trials with in the 60's at Harvard which resulted in them being sacked, went to India and met a Holy man and became Ramm Dass an amazing spiritual teacher, he's in his 80's now, very deep profound human. All as a result of having mushrooms with Leary. These fella's with the likes of Alan Watts, Terence/Dennis McKenna, are the trailblazers to a better future in human consciousness.

The child in me laughing at the Ramm Dass!

"..are the trailblazers to a better future in human consciousness..! - Id anything ever come of it though?

my party days are long gone, save for the odd goa festival. i take home trips, hook up some synths, dial up the reverb, delay and flange to 11, hold down some keys and turn some knobs...cosmic bliss.

Genuinely sounds amazing. I would have to get pi55ed first though, cannot handle it on a straight head, I've seen too many things!!

honestly it has to be a clean hit, no weed no booze...tho' a spliff is nice to come down on while sorting the audio you recorded when you were peaking. a cheeky glass of good whiskey goes down in this phase nicely too.

a great beginner synth is the Novation K-Station, by the way

Mmmm. I'm not adverse to getting on it on my own and your "way" sounds ace.

King (later saint) Istvan of Hungary 975-1038AD.

On immigration -

"For as strangers come from diverse regions of the provinces, they bring with them diverse languages and usages, and diverse learning and arms, all of which not only adorn the royal palace and render magnificent the court, but also abash the arrogance of aliens. For a kingdom of one tongue, or of one custom, is weak and fragile."
