Think that was a decision by the police on grounds of crowd safety

But the pitch heating was bust too making the playing surface like an ice rink.

It was a decisioin that could have rebounded on us easily enough.

Sounds about right. We went with a dead attacking lineup, started all of deulofeu, Barkley, lukaku etc, had the chance to move into 4th I think and got absolutely Palace’d.

It was exactly that - it was houses just beyond the Winslow in direction of the Park End. It happened just over an hour before kick off.

Not sure if this has been discussed, but BeIN sports reporter at Goodison now just said that Premier League initially refused City’s request to postpone the game as it did not meet the criteria of a postponement, but changed their mind after City claimed they were “fearful for the health and safety of the Everton and their own players”....
