If it was a load of Everton players that tested positive, I'm pretty sure we as fans would be offering to forfeit the match.

City today 5 players positive , game cancelled.
Something doesnt stack up.

It could be , is it not the same for them for the Newcastle game a few days ago ?
If all squads stuck to the self isolation 10/14 days there'd have been plenty of games cancelled by now .

Newcastle had a postponed game the other week. The training ground was shut for over a week.

Some of the players are still suffering with the after affects.

The reality is more than likely a number of city players / staff have tested positive today so everyone else needs to be retested.

Premier league won't risk a game when potentially some players might be infected.

V Aston Villa ...it did mate.

As did ours v Liverpool for a player showing symptoms.

After 9/ 10 months theres still no clarity in any rules, as @Grand Old Team says they are just winging it.

Happy it was cancelled but up for some drama.

Maybe personally I was lucky to get picked out was gutted because my dad went the game and passed away 4 weeks ago it was gonna be a memorial were they put the names of people on the screen that have passed away this year who were supporters/players so bit gutted I missed my dad name on screen.

This is precisely the point mate. Give the transparency and if it’s reasonable for postponement, no hassle.

If it’s as reported, with 5 players out, the FA need to explain why the game has been treated to pretty much every other one
