People can play any sport, you do get a leg up by having money in certain sports, tennis would be one of them as proper tuition and places to play cost money.

Football is deemed a working class sport because anyone can get a footy and go for a kickabout. I guess you can do that with tennis but you are not getting the same experience.

I don't even think football is anymore, you seem to get less working class footballers coming through now from up north (apart from Foden) .

in the UK - in China the state sponsors all promising child athletes for free tuition. but then you probably get abused your whole life and forced to eat toilet paper instead of meals if you're a gymnast and all that.

swings and roundabouts.

Just my personal opinion - if the matches had gone ahead - millions of people at the matches would have had the chance to pay their respects, reflect etc during a minutes silence. Honestly believe 99% would have! The day after her death, peoples emotions would be high and a minutes silence at a football match (observed) is a lovely tribute to a wonderful lady. Old enough to remember her presenting the trophy to Bobby. RIP

All the working class Blues can maybe attend an RL game this weekend instead then. I will be. I suspect most Evertonians wouldn’t have a clue though. After fawning over Richarlison falling over at the faintest touch, RL might be a little bit tough for them

Mad how all these posh tories live in hoity toity places like Skipton, Leigh, Warrington South & Wakefield.

Take me to the salt of the earth workers in that voted Labour in for Holborn, Ealing & Hampstead. lol

Problem is Liverpool were at home, at them tramps have no class of dignity, so all games had to go because we couldn't trust them to behave.
