Potential Lukaku replacements?

I don't think I am over rating Lukaku, he is up there with the top scorers in the Premiership while playing for a team in the bottom half of the league. That makes him pretty good in my opinion.
The only thing that 8 goals in 14 games proves is that he scored 8 goals in 14 matches, you cannot extrapolate 30 goals in a full season. He may have but he may not.

He's not a 60m striker though, not even close, his attitude is obviously terrible too, couldn't be arsed the second half of the season, moans about not winning things when if he'd have tried he could have put us in a position to.

Compare that to our D Studge, the boy is all talent no mouth. If I had to choose right now which one I'd rather have it'd be Sturridge 100% of the time.

I'm also absolutely certain that with a full season behind him Sturridge would score more than Lukaku every single time.

We won't agree on this. That is the beauty of these things, we all have opinions. I hope Lukaku is at Goodison and that his attitude improves and he gets his head down and earns his place on a CL team.
 

I wanted Bony over Lukaku in the beginning. I'd still choose him now.

How would Bony be worth now?

That list is utter turd, we need a proven striker if Rom is to go, not some Iranian. Bargain basement days should be a thing of the past.
 

I'd honestly go for zlatan on a one year deal. Imagine he'd be up for one last challenge before heading to the mls/China for a final big payday.

Agree with that others have said though, two strikers are needed. Lacazette and Batshuayi are the obvious choices but I don't know whether they'd leave their current clubs for us.

We were linked with Islam Slimani quite a bit last season but it looks like we chose niasse ahead of him. Good record in the Portuguese league and I think he'd be decent in the Prem but it's obviously a big step up if we were to go back in for him.

Agree on which part?. The score more part?. Because a fit Sturridge would outscore Lukaku all day everyday. He's by far the more superiour player.
