Can anyone here that has a sliver of US legal knowledge explain the ins and outs of the Cruz birther issue? I know that he was born in Canada and is a Naturalized US citizen. I know also that the Constitution requires the President to be a "natural born citizen," which is defined by English Common Law. I know also that legal "experts" (whatever this means) seems to come up with opinions on both sides. Is this going to get sorted out before the Republican convention? Will the Supreme Court be likely to issue a statement on this? Anything else relevant to this issue?

*Not that I'll likely vote for Cruz; he's wonderfully charismatic, but a pure turd punk.

It's been a bad week for famous 69 year olds - David Bowie (sadly), Alan Rickman (alas) and, one can hope, Donald Trump for the hat-trick.

And I bet you're someone who goes around telling people they don't like to die.
I don't Yano kid, but I have got enough about me to see that someone making a satirical joke on a football forum probably doesn't go round wishing death on people either.

Wishing death on anyone is absolutely not acceptable. Shame on you.

I bet you're a frigging riot at parties

Ok ok leave it lads.

I see both sides here - Trump is obviously not popular for many reasons but then neither is wishing death on someone, but it could be taken tongue in cheek, as I suspect was the intention.

Please leave it lads.

Several polls in America have in the last few days shown a rather large Clinton wobble. She's still the clear favourite to win the nomination but Sanders is gaining significant ground, some now even have him out in front. Would be a staggering turnaround if she was to lose from here given how solid her position looked following the second Democrat debate.

I said "bad week" for Trump - so yes, tongue in cheek rather than "I hope he dies" - which I could have said had I wished to make that the nub of my comment. Res Ipsa Loquitor.
