I am in some ways excited to watch from the 14th floor, but know I'm not going to be able to go anywhere. Metro shutdown through the weekend. Honestly wouldn't notice a difference.

Not trying. Given how little of an impact it has on your daily life, everybody in this thread spends too much time on politics. It's a colossal waste of time, and most people are actually in self interest not to give a damn. Federal, specifically. State and local are really the only ones you feel on a daily basis.
