Not too concerned. Geri finishes some of those and we win this game. Once we fell behind, Dresden got men back and made it really difficult for Geri to utilize his pace. I am concerned about our defense more than anything. We don't close down quickly enough. Always been a problem since the Milkielka partnership died.

That match demonstrated how much work there is still to do to "de-Martinez" this team. Geri worked his socks off which I'm happy to see. Central mid lacks creativity - crying out for Mata and Witsel.

Coleman needs to give his head a wobble - Barkley shocking too.

New style of defending pal. If you're upset about a pre-season game I think you need to give your head a wobble and get out and enjoy your Friday night!

Coleman made a mistake, but it happens and you can see they are obviously still suffering a bit of a hangover from Martinez.

Other than that, most were poor. Gibbo offered nothing, Mori was rash and Baines caught out as well a few times.

Davies played well and Stones did fine too. Besic was decent. Kev, Barks and Lennon didn't play well but at least they've got minutes. Del was class but wasted three really good chances.

Anyone criticising players on that game is a joke. All about getting up to speed.
